Sessions change what a level means

A level that holds through the Asian range and a level that holds into the London open are not the same level. TradeGPT reads how wide the bars got and how far apart the swings sit, which is what the session leaves behind.

No volume, and no pretending otherwise

Spot forex has no consolidated tape. What your platform calls volume is a count of quote updates on one broker’s price feed, so TradeGPT measures how far each bar travels, which highs got sold with a wick on them, and how deep the last pullback cut.

Any terminal, nothing to connect

MetaTrader, cTrader, TradingView, your bank’s platform. If the pair is on screen, TradeGPT can read it, with no API key, no broker login and no integration to set up.

How a currency pair gets read

The session decides how much a test is worth

Liquidity in forex arrives and leaves on a clock. A break of 1.1500 during the London and New York overlap has real participation behind it. The same break at the back end of the Asian session, on six-pip bars, usually gets given back by lunchtime in London. The timestamps on your axis say when it happened; the bars say what that hour was worth, and TradeGPT reads both.

What replaces volume when there is no tape

Spot forex has no consolidated tape, so TradeGPT reads structure instead of volume. Your platform counts quote updates coming off one broker’s feed, and two brokers will disagree about the same hour. Structure survives that: whether a pullback holds above the last higher low, whether the highs are being sold with long wicks or closed through, whether the range is widening into a level or dying against it. On the chart above, EUR/USD spent twenty-six sessions inside a two hundred pip box and never closed below 1.1354 once.

Round numbers, and the orders parked on them

1.1700 is not a technical level. It is a round number, and that is exactly why EUR/USD has spent three days poking through it and closing back underneath. Stops and take-profits pile up on the big figure, and so do option barriers and fixing interest, so price often has to trade through the cluster before it can go anywhere. The report puts a number on every level it marks: how hard that level has been defended, and how far the last print sits from it.

A JPY pip is not a EUR/USD pip

On EUR/USD the pip is the fourth decimal. On USD/JPY and every JPY cross it is the second, which is why a stop that sounds identical is a different distance on the two charts. TradeGPT names levels as prices on the pair’s own scale, so 147.20 against 147.50 and 1.1650 against 1.1680 both arrive the way you already read them, with the distance from the current price attached rather than a pip count you have to convert.

Forex chart analysis, answered

Which currency pairs does it cover?

Any pair you can put on a screen. Majors such as EUR/USD and USD/JPY, crosses such as GBP/JPY and EUR/AUD, exotics, and metals quoted as pairs like XAU/USD. TradeGPT analyzes the chart image rather than a data feed, so coverage is not a list we maintain.

Does it work with MetaTrader screenshots?

Yes, including the default MT4 and MT5 color scheme and any indicator windows below the price panel. The same is true of cTrader, TradingView and broker web terminals. There is nothing to install and no account to connect.

Can it analyze a chart with no volume indicator?

Yes, and on spot forex that is the normal case. It reads what price did: which way the swings are stepping, where the bars suddenly got bigger, which highs got sold with a long wick on them, and how deep each pullback cut before the bid came back. Where a volume pane is present it is read as one broker’s quote count, not as market-wide participation.

Is forex chart analysis financial advice?

No. TradeGPT is technical analysis, not financial advice. It does not know your account size, your leverage or the rest of your book, so every report is an input to your decision rather than a recommendation to buy or sell.
