A gold chart setup, worked through
The illustration above uses a hypothetical XAUUSD entry at 2,460, a stop at 2,440 and a target at 2,500, quoted in US dollars per troy ounce. It shows the shape of a setup you can examine, rather than a current gold recommendation.
The distance to the stop is 20. The distance to the target is 40. That produces a gross risk:reward ratio of 1:2. The target is a proposed outcome, not proof that the chart has a resistance level there.
The next useful question is what makes 2,440 meaningful. If that price sits below the swing defining your setup, a break would challenge the original interpretation. If it was chosen only to make the ratio look good, return to the chart and check the structure.
For a setup built around a break and return to a level, the breakout and retest guide explains how a hold or failure changes the scenario. Use that sequence to give the proposed stop a reason on your own chart.
That is where the report helps: observations, levels and alternative scenarios in one place. Compare its levels with your chart, then use the risk-reward calculator to work through the numbers after costs.
XAUUSD and gold futures are different chart inputs
Keep the instrument and provider visible in the screenshot. XAUUSD on a broker platform and a gold futures chart can track the same market while showing different prices, sessions and contract details. An AI read should start with the chart you actually use.
| Your chart | What to keep visible | What to check separately |
|---|---|---|
| XAUUSD / broker gold | The provider, candle interval and price scale. | The broker’s product type, lot size and spread. |
| GC gold futures | The symbol and contract month, or the continuous-contract label. | GC represents 100 troy ounces per contract. |
| MGC micro gold futures | The micro contract symbol and expiry. | MGC represents 10 troy ounces per contract. |
CME lists GC and MGC contract sizes. A one-dollar price move therefore has a different dollar effect for one GC contract and one MGC contract. With the hypothetical 20-dollar stop distance above, one MGC contract represents about 200 dollars of gross price risk; one GC contract represents about 2,000 dollars, before costs. The screenshot’s price distance is only part of the position calculation.
For another reference point, the LBMA Gold Price is established at scheduled London auctions. It is a benchmark, not a substitute for the price feed on your trading screen.
From your gold screenshot to a structured analysis
- Choose the chart you want to understand. Keep XAUUSD or the futures symbol, the timeframe and both axes readable.
- Save the image. Use TradingView’s snapshot button, MetaTrader’s Save As Picture option or your device’s screenshot function.
- Open TradeGPT’s chart analyzer. Upload the screenshot and continue to your analysis workspace. Your own chart analysis requires an active subscription.
- Read the setup in context. Start with market structure, compare the levels and examine the competing scenarios.

Questions about AI gold chart analysis
Can I use an MT4 or MT5 XAUUSD chart?
Yes. TradeGPT works from a screenshot, so it does not need an expert advisor installed in your terminal. Keep the chart labels visible. See the MetaTrader chart analysis workflow for the platform-specific details.
Does it connect to my broker or place a gold trade?
The screenshot workflow does not require a broker connection. It produces analysis for you to review. You place and manage orders on your own platform.
Can I see the report format before subscribing?
Yes. The complete sample report is open to read. It shows the product’s report format; the gold illustration on this page explains a separate hypothetical setup. Current subscriptions are listed on pricing.
Put your gold chart to work.
You already have the chart. Turn it into a clearer view of the structure, the levels and the next conditions to watch.
