A silver breakout worth examining
In the hypothetical drawing, silver moves above a range capped at 32.00, then pulls back. A proposed entry at 32.20, stop at 31.60 and target at 33.40 creates a gross risk:reward ratio of 1:2: 0.60 at risk for 1.20 of potential reward per troy ounce.
The useful question is whether the retest supports that entry. Look for the candle close, the preceding swings and any volume actually visible. A return below the range boundary would weaken the breakout interpretation. The target remains a proposed scenario.
TradeGPT organizes those observations into a report you can compare with your own chart. Review the opposing case too. A pleasing ratio cannot establish that the breakout will hold.
XAGUSD, SI and SIL: read the right silver instrument
| Screenshot label | What matters |
|---|---|
| XAGUSD / XAG/USD | Retain the provider name. Product type, lot size and spread depend on that provider. |
| SI silver futures | One standard contract represents 5,000 troy ounces. Keep its contract month visible. |
| SIL micro silver | One micro contract represents 1,000 troy ounces. Check the symbol and expiry. |
CME specifies the SI and micro silver contract sizes. The example’s 0.60 stop distance would represent $3,000 on one SI contract or $600 on one SIL contract, before costs. Those are exposure calculations, not position recommendations.
XAGUSD also appears on broker products: OANDA labels its XAG/USD instrument a CFD. The label alone does not make a broker chart interchangeable with a dated futures contract.
Prepare your silver screenshot
- Keep the symbol, provider, candle interval and price scale readable.
- Include the range before the break, plus the candles after it. Avoid cropping down to the entry candle.
- Keep volume or indicators visible if you want them considered. Save the image using your platform or device.
- Open the AI chart analyzer, upload your screenshot and review the report. Personal chart analysis requires an active subscription.
Use the screenshot checklist when labels are cramped. For a wider view of the move, compare with a higher-timeframe chart.
Questions about AI silver chart analysis
Does a wick above resistance confirm a breakout?
A wick shows that price traded there. Review the close and subsequent candles before treating the move as a sustained break.
Can I upload a silver futures screenshot?
Yes. Keep the month or continuous-contract label visible. Check any roll adjustment separately before reusing older price levels.
Can I inspect the output first?
The sample report is open to read. It shows the report format using a separate illustrative example. See pricing for current subscriptions.
